Contact the office if you are interested in being a part of any of the Worship Ministry activities.
Adult Mass Server
– Provides the ministry of serving at daily and funeral liturgies. It is open to anyone who is fully initiated in the Church and is available on weekday and Saturday mornings. Scheduling is on a rotating basis. Training is required and will be provided.
Altar/Vestment care
– Responsible for weekly dusting and cleaning of the sanctuary and sacristy. The responsibilities include washing, ironing, and preparing linens for liturgies weekly. A rotating schedule will be used.
Baptism Preparation Couple
- Open to any parent who wishes to prepare other parents for the celebration of baptism for their child/children.
Worship - Art and Environment (Interior)
- Decorates the church for the various liturgical seasons and liturgies.
Eucharistic Minister
- Open to anyone who has been confirmed and would like to assist with Communion at Mass or take Communion to the homebound and sick.
Lector
- Open to anyone who has been confirmed and would like to proclaim the Word of God at Masses and para-liturgies.
Marriage Sponsor Couple
- Open to any married couple who would like to mentor those about to be married and prepare them for the Sacramental and daily living of marriage.
RCIA Sponsor/Team Member
– RCIA is the process of becoming Catholic for adults and children through the Sacrament of Initiation, Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Adult meetings are Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. October through May. Child classes are scheduled through the Religious Education Office.
Sacristan
– Sacristans share in the ministry of preparing the Lord’s table for liturgy. This includes preparing the bread and wine, vessels, and purificators before Mass, and cleaning the vessels after Mass. Scheduling will be on a rotating basis according to Mass preference. Training will be provided for all fully initiated members who wish to take part.
Ushers/Greeter
- Open to anyone in the parish who would like to act as a minister of welcome to the worshipping community, as well as oversee their needs during liturgies and para-liturgies. Ushers assist by helping to seat people, take up the offering, and distribute bulletins. Teams are assigned on a rotating basis.
Worship Commission Member
- The Worship Commission promotes and strengthens the efforts of continuing liturgical renewal. It meets the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m., September through June.
